Gary W. DeVane, M.D. is the founding partner of the Center for Reproductive Medicine. Dr. DeVane received his Bachelor of Science degree from Davidson College and attended Baylor College of Medicine receiving his M.D. from that institution. After serving his Internship and Residency at the University of California, San Diego, he undertook a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. In addition, Dr. DeVane spent three years in Germany as an OB/GYN Specialist in the U.S. Army. He has served as an Associate Professor in the OB/GYN Department at the University of Florida College of Medicine from 1980 to 1985. Dr. DeVane developed the first IVF program in Orlando in 1985. He is currently associated with Florida Hospital and Orlando Regional Healthcare System.
Dr. DeVane is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. DeVane is an acknowledged leader in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology and has published more than sixty scientific articles and abstracts. He has served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism and is an ad hoc reviewer for number medical journals in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Infertility. Dr. DeVane has been listed in “Best Doctors in America” and was named one of the “Best Doctors for Women” by Good Housekeeping Magazine.
Dr. DeVane also has been active in state and national medical societies having served as President of the Central Florida OB/GYN Society, President of the Florida OB/GYN Society, and was the first elected private practice board member of the National Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. DeVane’s major interest at this time is the practice of high quality In Vitro fertilization with special emphasis on cost-effective minimal approaches to help couples have access to this treatment. He also has a longtime interest in polycystic ovarian syndrome and endometriosis.
